Between the sea and the mountains, with a background of greenery, consisting mainly of vineyards, this mediterranean village in the south of France is privileged to have two rivers of the southern Corbieres flowing through its area. St Paul is on the route that passes some of the most spectacular Cathar castles.
In the north west corner of the Pyrenees Orientales close to the adjoining department of the Aude and near Ariege, Andorra, Spain and the Mediterranean Sea, the area around St Paul offers a beautiful countryside consisting of a scrubland of rosemary and thyme.
This extends upwards to the chalky ridges with their strangely shaped crests.
A village full of history and patrimony this is a place where one can also enjoy fresh air and commune with nature.
